Ok i had a water leak and i thought that it was coming from were the pump seals to the plate but its coming from the next plate that meets the block...How do i get to that plate to change the gasket? Also which gasket is that?....Also i broke the top right bolt in the water pump off..It broke pretty far back in there..Any way to get it out? Or is there any thing else i can do? :crying:

Pull the timing cover, clean all surfaces, extract broken bolts as necessary, replace with stainless bolts that won't rust, ( :) ) and reisntall.

Alrighty I'll do that...What about were the timing cover hits the oil pan? Wont it leak around the pan if i take it off...Also will the balancer need to be removed?

You should drain the coolant. Yes, the balancer needs to come off to remove the timing cover. Drain the oil too.

You'll need to replace all of the front cover gaskets - that's one between the pan and the timing cover is one of them.

Unless you have a once-piece pan gasket - in which case you just need some RTV around the corners.
