Weird annoying problem

Alright guys, so we know by now that I am the king of bitching about squeaks, grinds, and just noises in general, and I know that a moving, mechanicall sound vehicle that is 11 years old is going to have a couple of problems. However, i have started to notice something different about my car. Ok, so, when I am just accelerating in second, or any gear for the most part, whe nI let of my car usually just lugs a little, but now, it lubs like back and fourth so to speak, almost a rocking sort of thing when I am driving. It seems like it should probably something in the tranny or rear end of the car. Its hard to explain, so bare with me and just try to give me and much 2 sense as possible.

Seems like control arm bushings wasted, or maybe rear shock's.

Nope, control arms are out of the question because I replaced them less than 2 weeks ago...could the guy that replaced them not have tightened them all the way or something? But it could be the shocks too?! Tell me this, sir, when I crank the wheel at very low speeds, like almost not moving (like pulling in very slowely into a parking spot), I can hear a rather loud popping noies coming from the rear, near the shock tour area. I really have no clue how long the shocks and struts have been on the car but they are Tokico blue gas shocks. Help guys!

Bushing's may be bound up, or he may not have done it right. Having replaced them two weeks ago is actually a red flag, it's the most recent change on the car.

Did you change the upper on the housing at that time?

Loud popping noise could be your upper or lower torque boxes. My '96 GT had control arm issues as well, and when I put my UPR arms in I could see external sheet metal damge at the mounting points. Check all of the welds and such, you never know. Could be as simple as the arms binding up or the bushing material may not be suitable for the street.

Hmm...torque boxes, eh? I never really brought that into the picture...I will have to check those than. If they are damages, would it be apparent by just looking a them?

Maybe... You should be able to see the welds cracked, and/or seperated. But it may not do it unless it's a load.

o i didn't think about that ... i've heard some people talking about how solid uppers can tear the boxes out pretty easily.
