So every once in a while while driving or sitting stopped with the car running, there's a noise that sounds like it's coming from the clutch area. The noise is high pitched and sounds a lot like someone cutting a key (if you know what that sounds like). It's intermittent and random. It doesn't happen at any particular time. It just happens when it feels like it. Also, at idle or while decelerating, it sounds like chewbacca coming from the clutch area every so often. You can hear it best at idle though as it does the chewbacca sound sometimes when i push the clutch pedal in and out. Is it clutch chatter??? When I decelerate in a gear and it does it, you can feel it through the shifter. What could it be?

My guess it the throw out bearing is going/gone. If its not that. Then you have Chewbacca living in your bell housing and you need to get him out of there. I'm just saying.

That was my second guess. I need to drop the transmission anyway because the rear main is leaking pretty bad. Once my back up car gets here at the end of this month, I'll park the Mustang and tear it apart. Thanks guys!!!
