what a change!

ok so when i bought my car it had flowmasters 40 series with magnaflow catted x all welded in ....and i wanted a change so i had magnapacks welded in place of the flows, i loved it but it just didnt seem right it was deep and droney and had some bark to it but it didnt seem like what "wide open" mufflers should sound like, soo today i went to local exhaust shop and had the cats taken out and what i difference! i honestly wasnt expecting this much of a change...it went from deep and droney to loudd snappy and mean...i couldnt be more pleased...once i get my camera working ill try and post a clip

I'm glad your happy I just did the opposite. I put a magnaflow xpipe on my car with the magnapacks. It was stupid loud and I got sick of it without cats. I think the cats give it a more toned sound. Then again I do have a 331 with a cam so its a different world from your car.
