Hi, I have a Jap export 96 Mustang GT, what are the differences in the fuel system?, I have read they have 4 cats fitted to exhaust, Mine has 6?, all Mustangs have 4 o2 sensors, Mine has 2 at front & 2 cat heater probes?, I've fitted a catted Magnaflow x pipe which has caused the Check engine light to come on, I've checked for vacuum leaks (have none), checked for exhaust leaks (have none), been told to fit MIL eliminators (only 2 0s sensors), I've had the codes read which said its running a bit lean?, Im getting frustated, anybody got any ideas

96 4.6's had 6 cats from factory and you can either get a set of MIL's or have the codes permanently turned off with a tune.
No difference in fuel system, only cosmetic differences so it could pass Japanese safety inspection.

Different taillights (with amber turns)
Different side view mirrors (collapsable)
Wheel well flares
side turn signals

Thats about all I can think of unless it was in Australia then I think they get extra fogs and backup lights in rear valence.

My Exhaust has only 2 O2 sensors at the front of the pipes, so nowhere to fit the MIL eliminators.

Your car should have originally came with 6 Cats being it is a 96. The previous years (94-95) came with only 4. Those same years had only 2 O2 sensors. The 96 and newer vehicles should have 4. 2 front, and 2 rear. Your aftermarket x pipe should have the same O2 sensor locations (4 of them)with it being Catted. If it does not, then you have to install the MIL's or have it tuned out.
