I’ve built quite a few diffs, and I don’t quite understand how this happens. I would imagine the pinion bearings would be destroyed letting the pinion gear move that far.

It hasn't been happening long, bearings look fine. I've got some new ones coming that will be here tomorrow and we will slap it all back together. Full floating axles are nice, I didn't even take my wheels off lol.

I've been running a Type II on my Cobra for 15yrs. Best pump ever! I also use a Heidt's valve to control flow because I had it on when I first built it in '99 with the stock Ford POS to lower pressure. Did you make a custom bracket to mount it to the Coyote, or is one available. If my stock '02 pump takes a crap, I may switch.
Power by the Hour makes a real nice GM pump bracket, I think they call it the Pistol or Revolver or something like that. I have to say I don't know what I'd do without PBH's products between Ford p/s pump, GM p/s pump, alternator, A/C, etc. Top quality stuff.

Yep, I used their Speed Drive setup when I put my howler in. Very nice indeed!

Just have to make sure they get you the right sized belt too because the Ford mod pump pulley is significantly larger than a typical GM pump pulley. Like by at least an inch or so.

Well, it's official: Ford pumps just suck, I guess.

Had a very successful test session with the new GM p/s pump. No noises, just smooth steering and braking. So happy right now. This has been an ongoing struggle for the better part of four months now, finally turning the page.

Installed a 6psi pop-off valve for the power steering reservoir today.
