Keep saving or keep on searching, either way i would stay away from that one. You can find an untouched or slightly modded sn for right around 2500 that will probably be in worlds better shape than the one you're talking about.

yeah what the rest of the car looks like would make the difference imo, just from reading that the car sounds pretty rough.

That's WAY OVERPRICED. Granted my car had 162 on it when i bought it. I only paid $1800 and it was very very sound car. ran and drive perfect. Granted once i got it i ran it a lot harder then my friend did when he had it. So things broke but ya know you have to pay to play.

WOW , id run as far as possible from that thing. Seems like a headache that wont end any time soon... Ive seen perfect bodies , just rollers for 1k and descent running stangs for 2200. For 3k you can get a supper nice sn95 if you look around a bit

yeah, i'm definitely gonna save some more cash and look for a good 'stang. i've read many times that pple fall in love with the first stang they see and it ends up being a money pit. theres another '95 in running condition going for 3500 and several foxbodys for around the same price. I'll just wait till i have 3500 or more to buy a good 'stang, even if i dont spend all that cash on it, i could use the rest on some goodies for it :laughing5:

thanks for the input guys! i cant wait 'till i get a 5.0

Dont let your want to get one end up getting you into a pile of crap like that one was. Just keep looking and you will find something better and you will be much better off

Yea , you will like your sealf alot better if you wait. Theres a nice vert here for 3k. He says its a saleen but I'm guessing its not for that price. But its clean and fairly stright , needs a front fender to be perfect. Your better off looking for something like that.

For that price probly not. But its a kid who has it so its hard to say. A buddy of mine just bought a nice cobra for 2400 from a collage girl who didn't know cobras were worth more than a gt... Never say never BUT never buy with out checking the vin...

Yeah prob not but much more uncommon for someone to have a saleen and not know what it is then for some kids rich parents buying them a cobra. Chances are the kid bought a GT and threw a Saleen body kit on it and is now trying to pawn it off as one. But like you said its easy to check a VIN to be sure.

Id go to canada to get your cobra lol. But some of or younger members may not beable to travel as freely.
I've came close to traveling pretty far for a mustang. Last year I found a cobra vert with the factory removable hard top with 30k miles. The guy literally called me while I was booking a flight to texas to get it abd told me he just sold it locally.....

aslong as i have enough money i would get the vehicle shipped if the owner is willing to help me with that. ive always loved the hard top convertables! its too bad i've never seen one in person, they are extremely rare, but they look sweet plus you get both in one, coupe, and droptop! lol
