I disagree that 03-04 was the peak of the sn95 interior as the earlier sn's had better looking and better dressed door panels and I have never been happy with the looks from the cheaper ones later on. I also like the clock pod but mainly because it houses my radar detector now.

Ford should have known that I would want to put a a double-din or motorized dvd player in my car. They should have put the A/C controls at the bottom and the stereo at the top. Also in my v6 the coin holders just collect dirt and look nasty but I use the cup holder. No one will be aloud to bring food or drink within a 10ft radius of my white interior when it's done in my 94........

It has been awhile since I have looked at the door panels of an early sn.....I will say that I do like the tenth annivarsary Cobra door panels as well as the Mystic Cobra panels as well. I have never had a Mustang with the clock pod.......I am not sure if I like that all that much or not.

Not a huge fan of the clock pod. The door panels are ehh so so. The material on earlier SN's are cheap and shrivel in the sun. I prefer my updated 98 interior, but with the 03/04 cobra console and seats. I like true black interior.

Cobra seats are fantastic. I loved mine in my 95. I was a little bummed about not having a cup holder in my car but it was never a real big deal to me.

I intend to take my mint 04 v6 black seats and my stock rear leather seats, buy the foam and covers. Boom have a set of brand new 04 charcoal cobras.

What seats have the power bolsters? I had 01 Cobras, I guess they could be different than 03-04, but I thought the only real difference was the covers. I personally like the 01's a bit better, my seats live on in the.greg's car now.

But race seats are awesome too. I had a set of Corbeau Forza's after I sold the Cobra's... I was a bit too big for the standard seat but the wide version fit me perfect and held me in like glue.

The only complaint I have about mine are how quickly they fade. Mine are still holding up after weekend autocross events followed by driving the car every single day. 95 might be dead for awhile but I threw the seat in the 67... so it'll still be holding my big booty.

yeah they were the 03 04 cobra seats. 10 way adj.....(forward, back, up, down, tilt front, tilt back, lumbar, back forward back, and the side bolsters.) Part of the reason why they are so expensive used. I believe the 99 and 01 cobras seats were the same as the 99-04 Gt. I was thinking of the leather corbeau seats with the adj backs.

03-04 console is the best design period. It has depth for the drinks, two different sizes. It's built differently that makes it way sturdier. It also has a factory e-brake boot that looks good. Thats why I did the swap. I had of course the stock 98 black cup holder setup. Much happier with this one though.

Any pics of this? I've never seen one, and google isn't being good to me.

As to the topic, my ash tray fits my garage door opener perfectly so it's found a purpose. The cupholder being in the arm rest is so dumb on every level though.

just curious about how ya know its way sturdier? have you been standing on both of them at some point? Had my 94 in/out a bunch and it still looks as it does in the pics. From what I hear the cup holders are good, right up till you turn right?

Touched up some of the flocking on it and now need to paint the stripe on the media players mount. The room I use to paint in though had the heater go out and waiting for it to get fixed this afternoon hopefully...

a better place for change, in my opinion is right beneath the e-brake since that added that sweet wall-lip thing.
I 'just' did this swap in my 95. Everytime I get in the car with a cup or two I kind of smirk to myself in joy:p

While I didn't have the 98 center console, I had the 95. It had many many faults. magnetic clip or something that was a pain to open, one cup holder that could only hold small coffees or a can of pop. Useless ashtray and it just seemed to be more of an inconvenience having it in the car. Another large difference was the rubber gasket around the e-brake looked nasty and boring, the new leather boot looks way cooler. So the swap was worth wild for me with a 95.
The 98 to 03/04 won't be as much of an advantage. The relocated fog light button is pleasant though, in eye sight, and you don't have to reach back to press it on/off. Also the two cup holder size is a world of difference.

I also swapped over the boot around the shifter, the 03/04 doesn't have the little hatch door, it just has the outlet present in eye sight. The doors on the boots are prone to break and often prevented me from being able to put in larger appliances such as converters.
