i say 4.30s :boink:
do more round town driving? then 4.10's O0
3.73's are for n/a 5 spd's
3.55's are more for forced induction
thats the way i think about it
but thats just me
i got a 331 bout to get a kb 2.2
so im going with 3.55's

I'm fitting a 3:73 31-spline Ford Racing axle atm, i use the motorway quite a bit [70mph, or more :)], and petrols not cheap here.
If i was paying a few dollars a gallon, drove round town, and did'nt do any journies, then 4:10 or up would be the way to go.

go get the car dyno'd and get back to us with the sheets then I'll let you know what gears you need.

i have 4.10s and they are awesome, but gas mileage sucks and shifting into second almost instantly sucks, so i plan to go to 3.73s or 3.89s, but if i had an auto or a 6 spd, i would def keep the 4.10s or go to 4.30s.

3.73's are the best all around gear imo.

I would do 3.73's, Hardened 28's and a Rebuilt factory differential with one extra clutch per side.

For all around driving yeah a 3:73 is better then 4:10's. But god they are not as much fun! I wouldn't feel the same about my car if it had anything less then the 4:10's in it.
