what motor do i have?

hey guys, i recently got a retarded deal on a 98 gt with a fresh motor dropped in it. its the 4.6 but i dont know anything else about it really. the guy said it was a crate motor... how do i tell what exact motor i have so i can change my oil? also the guy says that this motor has a slightly bigger cam in it since its a crate motor, could anybody verify that?

I'm not sure where on a Ford motor, but is there any numbers engraved on the block or heads? Possibly a tag stamped on it somewhere?

You are not giving any info so we can help! We need where the crate motor was bought Or other clues where to start. If you don't have time to provide that then not much we can do...good luck...Oh yeah you don't need that info to change the oil! Check the present level in case you have a bigger pan & just refill it to the same level!!

You have a crate motor..... assuming its a 2v, assuming its an Iron block, its more then likely just a PI repalcement. I will need Pics to determine, even then it will be difficult to see if its a PI or NPI

like i said i dont know alot about it. the guy said he bought the motor from some guy, idk where it came from before that. ill tell you everything i can just let me know whatt you need.
