Hey everyone, just wanted to ask everyone a question as to what i should do next,

Right now at my job i can bank overtime and use it how ever i wish, so i buy car parts with it, i have one more month of working their till i get married and move, im thinkin i'll be able to bank prob about 20 hr's or 250-300 dollars worth anyways, i just spent my last bit on a x-pipe :D

So right now on my car i've done the intake, pulleys, x-pipe and cat back. I was thinking of either getting a bigger throttle body, new headers or a msd6AL i can do all my own installs so i dont have to worry about labour just wondering what you guys think i should go for next, i was leaning towards the msd

Gears or Headers or both. I dont think you will see much of anything from the MSD box right now from you mods. The throttle body wouldnt be too bad but gears would be best. By intake do you mean the Cold Air or the intake manifold like a cobra or such? You can get cobra manifolds for pretty cheap and they are a decent gain even on the stock POS heads.

Dont think so. You wouldn't want to do that anyway because the stock lower and upper are TINY. Take a look for some cobra upper and lowers on ebay and corral.

the 94 cobra one will bolt right on?

Yes, as long as you get the upper and lower. It will bolt right up. The lower can be just any GT40 style intake, like off a 5.0 explorer.

id go with headers and gears, you can get some nice full length headers for a decent price, i dont konw about the EPA restrictions in canada but if you do that + gears, you will be happy

If possible find a cobra upper and lower intake and install it and at the same time install headers and then get someone to install a gear.

You could prolly see a 15-20 hp gain with headers and intake. And of course a better sotp feel with the gears.

If you haven't done gears then do them. Best bang for the buck mod you can do to a car. Although realize that if you don't have the proper tools to do gears then you'll have to get a shop to do them. Some shops try and **** you in the ass with really high prices to install gears. My shop did them for $150 which is about what it SHOULD cost to do them. I've seen guys online complaining about shops trying to charge them $500.

And you don't need a "Cobra" intake. Any 5.0 explorer/mountaineer intake will work just as well. Try the corral classifieds, ebay, local JYs, craigslist etc... Buying a new "Cobra" or "GT40" intake is ridiculous as all new "Cobra" intakes are made in China and have oil consumption issues and the tubular GT40 is just too damn expensive. You can get a used Explorer/Mountaineer intake for $200 and all you need to do is buy the SN95 TB adapter OR do the fox TB conversion.

For stock E7 heads the headers aren't as big a deal. The E7s flow like such shit that the crimped headers aren't too much of a restriction lol.

When I first saw the headers I was like WTF? :hammer:

I traded a headunit for a Cobra upper and lower. So just look around.

I would need the cobra upper though wouldnt i? or i can use the explorer upper as well?

The explorer upper will work fine with the cobra lower or explorer lower. They are both gt40 style intakes. The cobra looks a lot better and does not require an elbow for the throttle body too. Keep that in mind.
