This is what I was thinking and yall PLEASE give your opinions

MMR800 shortblock
1.Fox Lake Stage 1 Heads
2.Fox Lake P51 Intake
Crower Stage 2 blower cams

1.P&P PI or NPI heads will flow just as well, if not, better.

2.Get a PI intake.

so basically what your sayin is, take my current motor and put forged internals on it, send my heads to be P&P'd and do it that way?

Well you have to keep in mind this is my ONLY vehicle so I'm not trying to have much "down time" if ya know what i mean...

plus i heard it is more expensive to get all the pieces + gettin everything bored to fit + P&P then it would be to just buy the shortblock alraedy forged and buyin a set of heads

i know it would be less downtime cuz all i'd have to is swap out the motor and whatnot but i do agree that it's a lot of money for just at 300rwhp IF that but then it would be SET for when the blower would go on

Pick yourself up some used PI or NPI heads. They can be had for around $200. :thumb:

if i got new heads they would be PI heads and then i could ship those away to be ported or whatever but the thing is:
1) what all do i need to do a PI swap?
2) when it comes to gettin forged internals... my motor has to be pulled and shipped out for that to happen and that takes a long time... which means i won't ahve a car... which means i'm screwed... which can't happen

Why do you need forged internals? Do you plan on lots of boost or nitrous?

1 step at a time.

my goal is goin into the 10s
which is very possible with forged internals, a blower and other stuff (supporting mods, suspension etc)

i want to at least have 450rwhp thru my auto

Forged internals are not completely necessary with 450rwhp. Although it is recommended. Cause that's seriously pushing it on the 4.6. Like I said though, 1 step at a time. It's a PITA trying to make your DD your track car as well. Especially if you're looking to run good. Remember, #'s don't always translate to track times.

oh i know, i plan on pickin up a DD down the road but for now, this is all i can work with
i want a badass street car but also can throw down at the track
it will be on the street more than it will be at the track
but i want it setup so that i can change the tires to some DRs and go to the track

does that make sense?

Yeah, that makes sense as that's what I'm doing with my car. 450rwhp doesn't mean you'll run 10's. You might run more or less (most likely more). That power is pointless if you can't put it to the ground. I've seen guys (4.6 Mustangs) run high 11's with less than 350rwhp. It's hard to do but it can be done. Anyway, modify what you can till you get your DD. Research as much as possible that way you can save some time and money doing the work yourself. :thumb:

I wasn't saying that 450rwhp will get me there, i was just saying "i want AT LEAST" that much...
yeah i have friends who have like 375 that run 11.60s thru an auto so.

as far as doing it myself... i'm going to have to have help from some friends (some board memebers, some not)

but that's basically my dream for right now. once i get to that dream i'm sure i will want more and etc but that's my first goal i'm tryin to get to.

it would still be able to be drivin daily but be BAD haha

Yeah and it's cheaper to just send your own heads to get P&P'd.
