12s is pretty easy if you're willing.
4.56 gear
28" slick
rear LCA
front fox springs
nitrous
tune
will run deep 12s all day long. don't over complicate the recipe.
Any reason why you say 4.56s and 28 inch tire instead of say 4.10 and 26 inch tire?
They come out to about the same overall ratio...
Although a 28 inch tire will definately be heavier, but will probably get better traction out of the hole...but I feel like a 26 inch slick wouldnt have any problems hooking.
I guess 4.56s would be nasty on the street.
Ive never been in a 4.56 mod car so I couldnt say
from my experience, the taller sidewall allows for a lot better 60', especially once you upgrade the power. you are right, the overall gear is the same. a 500whp car is going to run through the traps right about redline in 3rd.
lol...what?
3rd in the auto, 4th in the stick...but either way, a 500 rwhp car will blow the f**k up before it gets through the traps with that setup, unless its revving to 7k.
@ 6k, redline, you would only be at like 110 mph with 4.56s and a 28 inch tire.
A lot of it depends on setup but I know my car with about 400 rwhp will be trapping close to 120 mph...which is why I have 3.73s

what tire do you have, and how hard is the car hooking?

I think it depends on a couple things and just flat out luck of the draw.
Duff daddys car is light as **** so im sure a 3000 lb car is gonna put less stress on axles than a 3500 lb car.
