what strut tower brace will clear aftermarket intake manifolds?

I need a strut tower brace for my 95 GT. I have a trickflow intake manifold with a 3/8 spacer. What will clear this thing? I think the BBK one will work but if you go on their website they don't really give you a straight answer. Basically they say it might fit. Any ideas?

On a trickflow manifold, good luck. Anyone Ive ever seen with trickflow intakes has never had a strut tower brace.

Yes, I too was wondering the same thing. I've looked at the MAC strut tower brace and it has a bend in it that looks like it should clear most intake manifolds. Forward facing it has a large bend where the large part of the intake would be sitting. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Trick Flow street heat manifold, and I would really like to run a strut tower brace also.

I believe the strut tower brace is a significant piece towards handling.

Interesting, I guess people are more worried about straight line performance. I mean if your car can't make a turn, but can only go in a straight line fast... what's the point???

I would suggest taking it to a performance shop and getting a custom one made... to be perfectly honest with you...

I'm pretty sure I've seen the BBK one on a car with a trickflow manifold, I would call summit they will give you an answer

do they really make that much of a diff? i took mine off and didnt notice (when I swapped to cobra intake)

Check Maximum Motorsports, I think theres is made to clear aftermarket ones..

This is the response I got from maximum motorsports:

The Maximum Motorsports strut tower brace (part# MMSTB-3) will easily clear
your intake manifold. However it may not clear the intake tube that connects
between the mass air meter and the throttle body. A strut tower brace is
very important. Whatever modifications are required to accommodate a strut
tower brace are suggested.
