Okay so I've got a couple of problems that have been aggravating me... I'll post them in two separate topics since they're about two different parts of the car.. anyways.. on to the first.

-I have been noticing my car running a slight bit rough here lately. Kinda lumpy and the idle is up and down some. Well I had this problem a while back and I got new plugs and frpp 9mm wires. Seemed to fix the problem. Well I'm having it again now. I popped the hood when it was dark the other night and it looked like a damn fireworks show. Every wire was arcing and you could see it around the plugs and anywhere they came close to any metal. also the coil (msd coil) is arcing around the core between that and the metal fins I guess you could say that are around it. Doesn't run real bad when it's dry but soon as it gets rainy it turns to sh*t. So I'm wondering should I just replace it all or just get a coil or what. Thanks guys in advance...

wow, it sounds like you have some severe grounding issues/shielding issues, start with the obvious things, look for any BARE wires for starters, esp around your headers. go in with a voltmeter to and check your wires for open currents, electrical problems are tough to diagnose on a EFI car cause there is so much shit. But good luck and i wouldnt drive it until its fixed, engine fires are REALLY bad and you do NOT want one.

if you have seen arcing, you need to replace the wires... you get one of those arc's to land somewhere that it shouldnt, and POOF! there goes your ECM

X2. i would recommend a full tune up. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil. and make sure that your plug wires are routed away
from you headers (i learned this the hard way). zip ties, or wire seperators will do the trick.
