I generally stick with OEM or performance. I'm going to see what goes on. No telling at the moment

you work at a ford dealership? buy a fusion good mpg, cheaper than a BM and from the only time i've been in one it's comfortable enough, plus they look good.

The BMW would be what I'd go for. Just keep up with recommended maintence stuff and take care of it and just drive it. You sound like thats what you want, so go for it is what my opinion is.

However, if you don't get the BMW, I'd sell the truck and get it paid for and over with and just start fresh again.

I'm either getting rid of the truck or picking up the BMW. One of the two. I'd of course like to own a BMW but it's all in the air. Financially speaking I can afford it, but I like to have a paid off, low responsibility/commitment/financial life.

you realize a brake job alone on that BMW will cost you over $500, i mean, since you prefer OEM, performance stuff will cost more than that.....

Whats the used car warranty in your State? Some States make dealers offer engine/trans warranty for 30 days/1000 miles up to like 90 days/3000 miles. Also check with the service dept because I thought emissions items IE Cats were covered for like 7 years/100k miles on almost every car from the manufacturer.

pretty sure cats are covered for 8 years 80k miles because of federal emmissons.

as for the bmw my sister just got rid of her 05 325. had problems with coil packs going bad on it over and over. she also said there was no spare tire in them since the car came new with runflats.

This one had a full size spare. As well as other junk. I passed on it, not happy with the money situation. Just going to either gut the cats on the truck and pick up an edge programmer or weld in some magnaflow replacements.

dont gut them, if anything straight pipe, gutted cats sound horrible.

i can turn off the CEL for you, or do a mild tune... but it would cost me a bullet ($100), so you'd be better off with a programmer to play with.

I've got a spare SCT chip laying around here somewhere. Just needs to be re burned. I don't have a wrench light yet, just a really annoying pinging sound.
