I'm looking in our classifieds right now... If you people think others will pay 6k for your stock or mild bolt on SN's, I dont see how 10-12 is a stretch for a modded New Edge...

I dont know who would expect to get 6 grand for a stock 2V or 5.0 sn95, unless it has less than like 40,000 miles on it. A 4V is a LITTLE different, but I wouldnt spend 6 grand on a ~15yr old stock 2V. There are far better cars to have for that kind of money, new(er) or old.

That's what I mean, everyone is in a fantasy world, if anything the original guy the post was about is more realistic than any, although, you just never get the money back.

BTW, I paid 6k for my sister's 96 with 48k on it in 2003, so...

this is exactly what I mean. That car was worth 6 grand, almost 7-8 years ago. There's no way these cars will maintain that value over 7 years, even if the car is minimally driven. $4500 would be a little more realistic, which in retrospect only losing $1500 value over 8 years, isnt that bad at all.

Around here sn's go for 6-8 all day long.. Anything cheaper is usually ragged out or a project car. For example we sold my dads 96 cobra for 13.5k in November.

Ive had offers of 8k for my car and it has around 130xxx hard miles.

Around here they go for 3-4k, if you look. Of course there's always a goofball with bolt ons and Cobra R's that thinks he should get 7.

I bought my 98 cobra in 08 with 84k miles for 6k.
There is a price difference between cobras and GT's. Just like you wouldnt pay the same price for a stock new edge GT as opposed to a 99/01 or termi cobra.

Although, I dont think 96-98 cobras are worth a lot more, they are a step-up in the price bracket. You can get a decent 4V sn95 starting at about $6500-$9000 with decent miles on it. A GT is easily going to be 2-4k cheaper.

I know. I was accenting your point. lol You can buy Cobra's for that much. Why spend that much on a 2v?
