I might be getting some like two grand back for taxes MAYBE so I want to get a lil truck for off roading. Nothing fancy just a little beater.. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a old school Toyota pick up or 4Runner... What you guys know about the subject? Any recommendations?

Thanks :eek:ccasion14:

Thats what I got in mind I used to have a 88 4Runner. I used to take it out with the top off rolling on 35s and a 5" lift, I MISS it sooo much :angry7:

Can't go wrong with an older Toyota, I'm really not big on their looks but engine-wise there's no better. They take beatings like no other and perform even better on the higher RPMs. Plus, you can't beat the MPGs

I'd snatch up an XJ in a split second without tihnking twice if I had the cash.

Just had this exact conversation with my friend last night.

I loved my old Bronco II. It was short and stubby and felt like a ATV with heat. That's what I'll be hunting for eventually.

Can't go wrong with an XJ. Aftermarket support out the ASS, everyone and their mother has done a budget build with one. Proven good offroader.

Old yotas, bulletproof motor, 4Runner's top comes off for fun times. Who doesn't love a 4WD yota?

If i could Afford it. The 2010 Hennessey Velociraptor. Other then that older jeep or a 80's Toyota.

i personally love the 78-79 fords (have a 79). Id say either a 73-79 truck or a 66-77 or 78-79 bronco if ya want something smaller

Cool thanks guys! I kinda wanted to leave my mustang stock for the most part, since its super reliable they way it is with 126k on it. But someone suggest I dump that money into making the mustang faster. Where should I start? :dontknow: Its bone stock except for a MAC cai and bbk x pipe.

It's actually better gas mileage than a small block if you do it right. But it's still bad compared to other things, Im just a big fan of old school Ford trucks, and the '78-'79 Broncos
