Ok I just ordered a Mac CAI for my 95Gt. Now I'm thinking It was a mistake to change the factory stuff. After poking around with some google searches and stuff some say Macs are not good because of the bend right before the MAF. :-\ Could throw off the computer calcs off. What is the deal? Is this something to worry about. I like the idea of adding some "bling" under the hood but if its gonna cause issues with my car running right I may call and cancel the order. Anybody have any good input about CAI's?? :dunno:

I want even put the one off my coupe on the vert. Just remove the air silencer and add a k&n. It should be called a hot air intake because of how hot the piping gets.

I have heard many people claim the metal/chrome ducting on some CAI's absorb engine heat. Yes, this can counter the affect of the CAI. But you are also getting a better rush of cool air to begin with, so it could just even out. Who knows?

If you like the way it looks and you don't notice a decline in performance I would put it on.

Does anyone know if they make a bling air intake pipe that keeps the stock location of the filter? Been trying to find one but havent had any luck. I need to keep the stock location for my ram air but wont to get rid of the stock plumbing for somehting more appealing.

Yes C&L makes an pipe or true flow pipe for the sn95 it goes from the throttle body to the mass air flow sensor stock location a bit expensive but know you get what you pay for....

Just wrap the tube with some of that aluminized wrap that they sell for fuel lines. it has a sticky side and they sell it in 15 foot rolls. thats what I'm doing this weekend.

I swear by my JLT, it looks good, and i could feel a difference... not a HUGE difference, but a small one. they make them in fenderwell mounts and also in a stubby version that puts the filter right at the opening into the fenderwell, but not actually inside.
