There are some people that run outrageous tire sizes, ive seen a 315 on an 8.5" wheel. Not saying that's safe, but Ive seen it, and it looks terrible. It really all depends on your preference. Most guys like a flush look, some people like a little tire bulge. Back when I had a set of 8.5 rear wheels, I put 275's on them, which bulged, but not to any degree that was unsafe by any matter.

9.5 is a rather odd wheel width when it comes to mustangs, but that's not to say you will have any problem with mounting or finding tires for them. Most guys run a 9" wheel, or a 10/10.5 in the rear. On a 9" wheel, a 255 tire will give you a flush fit without stretching the tire. Anything above a 275 on a 9" will start to bulge a little bit, so I would guess a 285 or 295 would be pushing the limit on a 9.5 if you don't want an extreme ballooning look.
What are you talking about? I run 275/35r18 on the back and that is the RECOMMENDED size for a 9" rim, sits 100% flush. I run 255/35r18 on the front and they stretch a little bit, I wouldn't recommend anyone go with that size on a 9" rim, I'm going 265/35 next time on the front. I might go 285/295 next time on the rear, probably 285 as I think 295 would bulge a little too much.

Got the Toyo tires for $200. one tire is 9.5/32 tread and the other 10/32 tread. New they have 11/32..

Measuring these tires, there is no way a wide 305 will fit these rims without looking tarded..

@stangbanger - Wow those 245's are flush alright. i see no rim protection. LOL

Would a 245/40/19 in the front look funny, as in be too tall compared to the rear tires i have? Would that inch be really noticeable?

Tire chart says my 295/30/19 are 25.97" tall

a 245/35/19 is 25.75" tall

a 255/35/19 is 26.03" tall

a 245/40/19 is 26.72" tall

a 255/40/19 is 27.03" tall
