Hey guys, just wondering if you have ever replaced rear wheel studs...i want to run a 3/8" spacer to kick out my rims a bit to sit flush with my fenders.

I tryed fitting the wheels and there is not enough thread left on the stud so im going to replace them with some longer ones...

i was looking at the 3" moroso ones and was wondering if they are ok..

The #46180 were the ones i was looking at.

I did mine when I swapped my axles.

I've heard you can hammer the abs drum back and fit them in, but have not tried it.
So don't hold me to that.

I've done it with nothing more than a sledgehammer, but it's not much fun. Oh, and I use those same studs.

Now I have a neato tool my friend made for me so I can do it in a hydraulic press.

sweet thanks man. i even tried using a 1/4" spacer with my stock studs but it doesnt give me enough thread...

everyone i talk to and all intranets suggest 1/4" spacers shouldn't be an issue but i only get 3 turns on a lug nut when im tightening them down...just doesnt seem like enough to me.

they would probably take your calipers off and brake rotors and pound em out

But if you go 1/2" i KNOW you need to get 3" studs (as per maximum motorsports)

i just dont want open ended lugs on my nice fr500 rims lol im being difficult

I never though about the open ended lugs...!

So the biggest smallest spacer you can get is 3/8" that will work with longer studs but you can still use your lugs?

what I mean by biggest smallest is I dont want the 1.25" ones with the built in lugs since they are too big. I think 1/2" would be perfect but not if I cant use my lug nuts lol.

I think long wheel studs with open lugnuts look cool. I have them on my notch and my convertible.
