That's the way I understand it. The production technique used for the hollow ones is still an entrepreneurial process. It's a bit weird.
They set the barrel in a fixture, set all the commonly ground lobes in place. Then they draw a ball through the barrel to force the barrel outwards to lock the lobes in place on the barrel. Then the lobes get their final specific grind for their application.
Too weird for sure.........
