Getting it fixed at a shop will be cheaper than replacing the whole thing. If it was a front fender it would be a different story. Also make sure they check for frame damage. Sometimes you think everything is fine and its just a dent but I've seen some weird shit happen when a car gets backed into.

As for the oil, hell if you change your oil regularly and keep it topped off just about any dino oil will be ok. Just not Quaker State unless that's what you already use. Quaker State is parrafin based oil and it isn't good to mix it with other brands.

I'm using cheapo Advance auto 10w-30 to break in my new motor and it runs fine with it although I will be going to Mobil 1 since Wal-Mart sells 5 quart jugs for $20 and my engine is brand new. Honestly if you change every 3,000 miles it isn't as big a deal as people make it out to be. Just don't use synthetic at the mileage you're at right now.

i use mobil 1 full synthetic 15/50 i got 126,000 miles on the clock.i bought mobil 1 10/30 2 changes ago and had about 1100 miles on it and is was 1/2 quart low i dont know if it is too thin for mine or not.but i went back with 15/50.my brother said that synthetic oil is thinner than standard oil so he has always run 15/50 in his 5.0 foxbody stangs hes had three and swears by the stuff.beware of other brands like castro, quaker state, valvoline, and others that claim full synthetic.i heard they are standard oil based with additives added to them not full synthetics.the only pure 100% manmade full synthetics are mobil1,royal purple, amsoil that i know of.but if you go to amsoil website the oil they try to say they are better than and does comparisons with is mobil 1.so that should tell you who their threat is.mobil 1 if you can afford it. if not i would run valvoline 10w40 highmileage in it if you want to go with conv. oil.which is very good oil just change it regularly.just remember good quality oil syn.or conv.and a good oil filter and the car will love you for it.peace

I'm using 10w30 Mobil1 Full synthetic. My 95 has 115k on it, and doesn't leak or burn any oil.

15w-50 is pretty damn heavy for a stock engine...I'd be scared of twisting the oil shaft or blowing up the stock pump or something... I get about 40psi of oil pressure at 850 rpm with regular 10w-30 dino oil with a standard volume pump. This is on a new block of course. If your motor is burning a little oil then stepping up the weight of the oil is a trick to buy you time before you need to rebuild but if your motor is running fine on what you have in it right now then leave it well enough alone. I know we car guys are known for "fixing" things that aren't broke but don't dick with your oil if the car isn't having issues.

I use Royal Purple 10w30. Havn't had any problems with it.

+1 And say what you will, but I swear that the first time I ever put RP oil in my car,
it felt a littler peppier.

Rotella T (yes the diesel truck oil) is what I run in my car. We also run it in our shop car (1,200rwhp supra). Shit works miracles...NON-Synthetic.

That or

Mobil 1 synthetic or royal purple.
