I am almost ready to get my saleens. I need a couple more paychecks and I will order them. They are going to be the 18x9 chrome saleens from American muscle, for the 99-04 just because they come with 275s instead of the 265s.

So my question is, do I go 1in, 1.25in or 1.5in spacer for the rear?

On a 9? Why not go 10.5 man? I would run at LEAST a 1.5 on a 9. I run a 1.25 on my 10.5s.... Tho... My rear end is short so that doesn't count lol. Okay.. Still get a 1.5 :)

The reason I don't want to run a 10 or 10.5 rear rims is because tire cost is to dam high. I can't afford to spend thousands of dollars on tires. So I am going same size all the way around, also will allow me to rotate tires.

So 1.5 spacers won't run into rubbing issues on the back

Get the 10.5" ones like stated. It'll only be another $20.
You can run a 275 on there like you want. If you're really worried about tire sized why don't you get 17s?

And with a 275 tire, all you need is a 1.25" spacer.

Yeah I probably would go 17s if it weren't for the fact that I love 18in saleens, and I don't track my car so having a huge rear tire for me is overkill. The rim may only be $20 more but tires cost between a 275 and 285 is about $45 a tires, then goes up the wider I get and my selection gets worse. So 275/35r18 is right in my budget, between 150-200 a tire.

Thanks for looking out though my man! :)

the saleens already have a built in spacer, with a 1" they stuck out on my car, a 1/4 made them flush..

Okay maybe I will get them first then see what I need thanks for the heads up

see, i'm not sure if its the same for both body styles, arent the 94-98 axles shorter then the 99-04? you may just have to wait till they are on the car and measure to see how much of a spacer you need.

Do 1" on a 9. It'll be flush with the wheel well/qtr panel. I ran them on one of my cars
