I am afraid it will make the grill look like an even bigger black hole though. I would have to look into aftermarket versions I think.

No need. I’m just famous for saying what I’ll do and then changing my mind four times before doing something totally different.

…and then changing it!
Which is your prerogative!

Nice and almost chilly this morning. Decided to let it rip and see what it could do. Keep in mind the speed limiter kicks in at 104 mph and it slowed progress well before 1320’.

13.36 @ 102.50..

Wow! That was better than I had expected bone stock running on 87 octane. Full weight with roughly 2/3 tank of gas. I can’t wait to run this tank out and let it rip on E85.

Back up pass was a bit slower but I have video:

You can hear it riding the speed limiter around the 12.xx mark. This thing is so much damn fun.

Sweet! My ‘12 Ram 1500 5.7 (yeah, it’s got a Hemi!) reg cab 6’ bed 2wd apparently has a 105mph speed regulator. Was still pulling strong before it slowed up on me. Rats!

new!

Drove it 13 miles home after filling the tank with E85 and it definitely feels…peppier. I’ll report back tomorrow with results.

Before leaving for work today, I removed the spare tire and jack. Also pulled the air filter out. Headed over to the local dig spot and let it rip:

13.14!!! o_O

Noticing the result graph showed a downward slope to the road and decided a back up pass was in order. Went to another spot and let it fly:

13.15
