I stripped down my typhoon I bought, and I am going to paint it this weekend. Not looking for show quality but what did you use. I bought the hi temp primer. I was wanting some sort of gloss black on it. Can I clear it?

Here's my 351w Typhoon. Hi temp cast grey with hi temp clear.

When I painted mine i sprayed it with Duplicolor Engine Enamel Primer and then sprayed it with 2 coats of the Duplicolor Engine Enamal Aluminum color, came out awesome looking :)

Coatings (e.g. paint, powdercoat, chrome) always look better if you spend some time smoothing out the casting flash first. A couple hours with a die grander and some sand paper can make a huge difference.

Paul.
