Wideness of wheels

Why is that the widest a 18' wheel comes is 10 instead of 10.5 like 17' wheels, just curious as to y? :dunno:

I believe you can get 03/04 cobra's in 18x10.5

yeah i just seen that after i posted this in the classifieds a guy sellin some, but thats the
first time ever just curious like fr500 or other rims besides the 03 cobra rims, 17x10.5 vs. 18x10 y not a 18x10.5?

maybe because 17" wheels are more 'preformance' wheel vs a 18"

i have 18X10.5 saleens on my car.. just flipping through the first 5.0 mustang mag. i could find,
the only ones i saw in 18X10.5 were saleens and fr500s.
