Will these work?

Had a buddy with a built and supercharged 97 Cobra text me and asked if I wanted Eibach springs and Tokico shocks in the rear, and H&R sports and Tokico struts for the front.

Will they fit on my GT? I don't really know, I googled and didn't find anything. If they have IRS, which I think they do, I don't think it'll work.

Edit: He just said it's a solid axle, so they should be fine in my car, right?

Yeah, looks like I am gonna pick them up then.

There isn't really a problem with running miss matched springs either right? He said it's Eibach Pro kit in the rear and red H&R's for the front, which I believe are the race springs.

Going to pick the parts up in a few weeks, hopefully I can find a good write up since this will be my first time ever dealing with suspension mods!

Sorry but they were a disappointment...pretty much no performance gain from the 96-98 to 99-01.

Didnt they even recall the 99 or 01s because they werent making the claimed hp? Ford ended up doing a few things to add some power I thought?

03/04 they did it right and actually improved the ****ing car lol

In stock form... yeah, I agree they were pretty disappointing. That doesn't mean you can't do shit to them so they're no longer a piece of garbage. However, even in stock form, I still wouldn't consider them to be "junk" as you put it.

The recall was on the 99 which included a new intake manifold, cat back, belt tensioner, and a PCM reflash.

The springs will swap right in.

OP use the spring install instruction on American Muscles page. That's what I used my first time and have done it countless times.

99/01s are awesome! They were not junk in stock form at all, they just got undermined bc they didn't have a blower.

You can make a rather Bad ass NA setup with a 99-01 cobra, and they handle just as well as the 03/04s.....

I would love to see pics of the springs installed....something tells me that the rear end will sit higher than the front.

OK maybe I was a bit harsh with the junk comment...just feel like it was not improved enough from 96-98

Well, it probably will. Little bit of rake is a good thing. I'll post pictures ASAP when I put them on. It'll be a few weeks though, I'll be on vacation for a week.
