will a airbag module off of a 2000 gt work on my 98?

also, with the airbags going off, will i just have to replace the crash sensors and take it to a bodyshop to get the airbag light to go off? or what will i have to do?

Dunno about the modules but i am sure the crash sensors will have to replace them. You will probably also have to reset the computer. That i think would turn off the light if the module was good.

I did a rebuild on a 2003 lacrosse on the air bag stuff. I found a guy on ebay that will reprogram/replace the glass crystal that explodes in side of it. (module) check on ebay. it's like 45 bucks and you ship your module to you. he is fast and really helpful. he's in california i think. once that sensor is replaced it should turn the light off. On my lacrosse i rebuilt turned out it had those damn shrinking seat belts and that kept mine from going off till i replaced it.

you could always ebay a good sensor.... if you can find it cheaper than the 45 he charges. go for it.

good luck, hope this helps.

I doubt they will work, I've had the clock springs for older and newer cars sitting out and the connectors were totally different. thats not to say it will not work, just imho highly improbable...

what? I have 2004 mach 1 airbags.. they fit fine. You just have to trim the connector on your dash harness.

Ahhhh air bags air smags... Who needs um. I drove my V6 for years without airbags, and totalled it once by tree, and once by deer... I would have been actually injured if I had airbags. Ah nevermind... you DO NEED them... just incase.

Seat belts are awesome.
