The "new" car I got Friday night is a really nice car. However the d-side window will not go up (power windows). We tried to jump it any everything. So today I went and got a new motor. Before I installed the new one, I took the old one out and plugged in the new one. However, it's the same problem. The p-side window works, but not the d-side. It does absolutely nothing.

The locks work as well. Could it be a faulty switch even if we tried to jump it and it didn't work?

There's a semi-large plug under the d-side kick panel and a few of those wires have been cut. Does anyone have a diagram or anything of that nature for a '97 GT?

Thanks in advance!

a haynes manual has electrical diagrams in the back. when you tested the new motor did you make sure it was grounded? have you cked to make sure you have pwr to the connector? cut wires under the dash doesn't sound good,

It could be the computer chip that controls the automatic roll down option. Can't remember if my window quit working all together when it went bad or not though. Anyways its incased in a plastic box about the size of a card deck inside the drivers side door if you want to check it.

Yeah, its just a little computer board that gives you the automatic roll down option instead of holding the switch down. Mine became disconnected from its mount and fell down in the bottom of the door. Over time it got wet and the chip corroded causing problems. Just follow your wires for the motor and switches and you should find it. Do your door speakers work? Curious if those were the wires that you found cut.
