Can anyone tell me the best way to get the driver's side window motor out of a 95 GT? I've got the door panel off and it looks like I need to remove the speaker and possibly drill out some plastic rivets holding it all in. Posted here thinking all 94-98 Stangs would be the same.

I looked it up at work on All-Data but there's nothing that helps. I'm going to work on it tonight or tomorrow so I was just wondering if anyone's done this before and can lend some insight before I tear it apart the wrong way.

Thanks,

Chris

The motor is held on by some substantial alloy rivets, looks like a drilling job, must admit there must be a cutter or something exactly for those rivets.
Whatever happened to nuts and bolts. ;)

Thanks!

So I should be able to drill 'em out and put it back with some regular hardware then?

Yep just drill it out. My passenger one was riveted but for some reason my driver side one was bolted in :dunno:

Found pics and a how to on stangnet.com in the 94-95 FAQ sticky. Worked like a charm. No drilling needed. Just take off the door panel, unbolt the three screws holding the motor in, disconnet the wiring, and pull it out of the speaker hole. Easy as pie!
