My car is red, and im trying to go for a red/black look. i have black rims, and am planning on tinting my windows, and tailights.

what percent tint would you think i should go with? i thinking maybe 20% all the way around? does that seem to dark?

20% too dark? not at all, it seems perfect. 5% would be dark.
it all depends on your state laws and how strict law enforcement is though.

I have 35 up front, 20 on back windows, and 15 on the rear windshield. If I did it again I would go at least 20 on the front.

But here, 38 is legal up front and 15 in the back.

ok, probably gonna go with 20% then. police pretty much dont give a shit, i can go down the main strech of downtown open header and not get bothered, ( and btw this sounds amazing with buildings completely surrounding your car) as long as you dont speed or do anything stupid at night im fine.

i have seen how do-it-yourself tint jobs usually end up, or 2 years later when they are peeling horribly.

shop by me wants $175, but will do 2 cars for $300 and my buddy said he might as well tint his car. this sounds reasonable? thats for tint and install.

$175 for all windows? if so its a good deal but 20% is not a good idea for the windshield.

I run 5% on my back 3 windows. We have no darkness laws, but we can NOT have tint on any windows in front of the driver, side windows included ie: Pass/driver door glass.

I have 20% all the way around except windshield and I thinks its just about right, dark but not to dark. And $175 to have windows tinted is a little pricey if you ask me, id call around a bit before you pay that much. If I remember right I payed I think 115.

Hmm I had 18% on my GT and it was a perfect dark at night, but you could still see inside during the day. That I did not like. I'm going with either 15% all the way around, minus front windshield, or 10% sides and 15% on the rear. I want to be able to see out at night when backing out.

Post some pics stating tint degrees!

You'd reaalllyyyy have to strain to see through 18%, even during the day. I had 20% o my mach and it was ridiculous

20% would look really nice. I would have put it at least in the back 3 windows. I'm at 35% all the way around and illegal still.
