wire lights to trunk light

its a 95 mustang, and the trunk light doesnt work, btu we thought we could put some crappy lights that i was gonna use under the dash back there to give it a lil light, and to do something with those lights. i found this diagram

the ones we found for under the dash, i thought about wiring to the headlight fuse... but im not sure where to put the others so when the trunk light would be on they would turn on... where would i put those?

the only place to make the connection, is in the trunk lid. Just look at and test the two wires going to the light up in the lid, but the switch is built into the lid in the same mechanism that holds the light. Have you tried replacing the light?
