One thing i notice is the rim doesn't sit flush on the hub. Theres about a 2 inch gap between the wheel and the hub. Im not sure if that big back nut is the problem or the metal thats under the nut.

What would cause this? I can tighten the lug ups tight and there is still a HUGE gap and it MIGHT causes the front driver wheel to wobble?
What else could cause this?

Also, when i spin the wheel by hand i can hear a rubbing noise because its wobbling.

I can also move wheel left and right when the car is jacked up. -JUST ALITTLE! but im not sure if thats because of the gap.

When taking off from a stop i hear a CLUNK/POP sometimes from the front area, but this only started happening after i raised the exhaust up and tighten it up.

The car is smooth as jelly when using the brakes.

Thanks.

Can one thing be causing this or two things?

did that wheel come off of there? or are they new ones?
Sounds like the hub is a different diameter (to big) than the center hole on the wheel.

No, the wheel is tight on there *knock on wood*

Also, its a new tire on there..same problem. What confuses me is the wheel doesnt sit on the hub even so all of this could be tied to that... expect the popping noise?

no way there is a 2" gap. the wheel studs arent even that long.

you need to take a picture.

Okay, not a 2 inch gap, but there is a gap between the wheel and hub. All the other wheels sit flush.

what do you mean the metal under the big back nut?

did something recently happen to the car to cause this or something?

There a ring that the black plastic piece sits on.

And no, when i got the car my rim didn't fit on. Its always been like this, but im not sure if the wobble is new. I brought the car without rims/tires and used my own tires. The previous owner wheel sets flush on the hub, but my cobra r never did on that specific hub. I also tried my STOCK 97 GT wheel and it also doesn't sit flush.

you mean the plastic piece that covers the big nut that holds the wheel bearing on?

see if that wheel will fit good on the other side, if so that bearing might be machined wrong.
