would you still use this tire?

After re installing the rear end in the car last year for some reason I developed some tire rubbing on the passenger side. This tire has been driven on multiple times since this happened but should I trust it? Currently I'm running my weld wheels w/ my MT DR's but since I am doing that I cannot use my slicks on the weld wheels for the track. I borrowed and eastwood fender roller from a friend yesterday so I can fix this issue and once I roll the fender should I trust this tire? I wont be drag racing on it just street driving. Also if it is advised that I should not does anyone out there have a used tire kicking around that would fit on a 17X10.5 wheel? I plan on buying 18" wheels so I do not want to replace the tires on my current 17"wheels...huge waste of money.

thats kinda what Ive been figuring since It has lost no pressure, no bubbles and not showing any cords. I also switched over to the weld wheels for the time being so that I could get an inspection sticker, damaged tires usually do not fly to well when it comes to inspections. But I'm all set as far as that now.

Yeah they dont look deep enough to worry about. Id switch the wheels though so the spot is on the inside of the other wheel. Also, arent the DOT numbers supposed to be on the inside of the wheel? I was always told that, not sure if its true or not.

Thanks guys, reassurance is always nice. The tread life on both of these tires are pretty much done. Just want to use them to get me through the rest of this year then I'll get my new wheels / tires. I'll throw my slicks back on my welds once I get some front runners before a trip back to the track. I'll roll the fenders sometime this week and keep the DR's on until after the dyno day in June and hopefully break my personal best w/ the DR's before getting some front runners to go w/ the slicks hopefully sometime in later june so I can use that set up the rest of the summer.

My SVO has similar issues on the driver's rear tire. Scrubs all the time, no biggie so long as it's not too deep.

i went to great lengths this time around to avoid doing that again to my tires, lol. i've ran tires as bad if not worse till they were bald. i've actually shaved down the sidewll to kinda hide the slits a little. worked pretty good actually, lol.
