Thats cool....my converter is unlocking @ like 4500 on the dinosaur

(this is with the Pi motor and like 12 psi.)
I really hope this isnt a mechanical problem......

im gonna be so ******* mad if it is

Got to love an automatic. Let alone and electronic one. Do you have any thing done tuning wise for your trans controls?

The whole setup was already tuned and running fine with the npi setup and blower....

now with the Pi motor its unlocking for some reason on the dyno

hopefully my tuner can get to the bottom of it and hopefully its not my trans or converter messing up.

JR built both and he fucking vanished

I guess im gonna have to get my hands dirty and do a JMOD

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about him. He was doing all these things starting idlewild and his junkyard and car lot, and it wouldn't make sense for him to just bail. I don't think he really needed to steal any money from you, he seemed well off as it is, and doesn't seem like the guy to do that. But I digress. J mod has a good write up somewhere

Im not jumping to conclusions about him ....

but you cant blame me, its not like everything went as planned.

I had to drill holes in the converters bracket to get the bolts to fit, had to remove his custom vb and put mine in, send his back to fix the 3-4 valve, never got that back,...he had it for months, then was gonna send it back right before he disappeared.

Im sure theres a reason but it just sucks to be stuck without the VB or anyone to turn to.

dang, i expected better... minor things really when you think about building a transmission for a car across the country, but it does suck that things didnt work out.

dang, i expected better... minor things really when you think about building a transmission for a car across the country, but it does suck that things didnt work out.

I guess...its not really minor when you have to yank the trans down, pull the converter after realizing that the bolts need to go in the other holes that they wont fit into...

then dropping the pan and getting soaked in trans fluid is pretty shitty

I expected to have a 100% working trans going in my car with no problems....

Its not a big deal but it didnt go as planned, im not blaming JR, the valvebody valve was out of his control anyway, just sucks that it happened.

The amount of time he had my VB was crazy...im talking like 3-4 months atleast, then he disappears...I should have had it months before he went missing anyway.

Yea...the biggest reason was I didnt feel like fucking with all the extra shit that I would have to do with the manual swap


for some reason I thought swapping an auto would be "easy"

After doing the swap, I might as well have done the manual swap.

Probably would have saved me time in the long run
