If you've never taken the dash off your mustang, it is a PITA. A couple of tips, do it in broad daylight, keep some bright flashlights handy, find a friend with very tiny hands to help you out, take off both seats, find a tiny drill air or electric since there isn't much space for wrench or ratchet movement. I'm sure the other guys will chime in. I would also like to know how to take out the screws closest to the windshield that face toward the rear of the car, I couldn't get to them and cut off the tabs holding them. Good luck with the swap, sorry I'm not much help with the wiring.

Please excuse how rude or dumb this may sound! So are you saying the wiring from the 01-04 is permanently attached to the dash? couldnt he just take his original dash off, take the wiring from his orinal dash and run it into the 01-04 dash???

Check out afghanibob's build thread, he showed some pics for removing the dash. Other than that, I'm not much help. Take a lot of pics through Javi, you could do a write-up and I know I'd like to see what all is back there.

Ill do some looking and post up some pictures, there is a pretty solid write up somewhere. BUT, before you do anything make sure you pull your front driver wheel, and liner. Then unbolt the main harness. It would have been SIMPLE for me if i had done that. Other than that its like 10 bolts and it gently pulls off. Ill post up later this afternoon with some help.

U can Change Just the pad on your dash. still have to remove complete dash, just reuse the reinforcement and wiring from your 94 [their is allot of small bolts or self taping screws holding pad to reinforcement, just leave wiring attached to reinforcement, then reinstall

That is a sweet write up. Do what i said with the fender lining, follow this and take it slow. Oh, and make sure you take pics of every connector or hope you can remember. Devote an afternoon or 2 or 3 to it and do it slow and steady. Taking out seats, shifter etc makes it all much much easier

taking out the dash is not that difficult, just a little time consuming. i've done 3

just make sure you reconnect everything.

i had a black 98 dash with no clock that i almost put in my car but i decided that i like my clock, so i didnt switch

What are you swapping? the cluster right? The cluster has an digital odometer, you have an electrically driven analogue odometer
