you can use your 2V GT harness, you will have to lengthen some things on it though. You will need a new throttle cable, new coolant hoses, thermostat housing, exhaust manifolds.

and you will either have to swap over your coil packs, or you can rewire your harness to use Coil-on-plugs.

Im just gonna swap the harness and comp because itll come with it. But Its probably just better to re-wire and use coil-on-plugs right? since thats what it origionally came with. and the motor mounts are the same im assuming?

if you're using the mach engine harness it will come wired for COPs, and probably still have them if the engine and harness come together. You're going to need to get a tuner to shut off the PATS(Passive anti-theft system) And your gauge cluster won't work since your is mechanical and the mach is digital, well atleast your odometer, not sure about the rest of the gauges.

Motor Mounts are the same.

a Mach1 or Termi drivetrain is what I'm going for when the time comes. Are you getting a wrecked car or just the motor?

with my 04 cobra swap experience. .. . i suggest swaping the 04 motor and engine harness. then splicing the engine harness into the 1997 body harnesses...

i did the entire wiring system from 04 cobra to my 96 body and am running into quite a few problems... rear defrost, 3rd brake light, door harnesses, air bags, etc. etc. etc. all wont plug into the 04 harnesses...

Matt would be a good source of information on a mach 1 swap, as he is putting a Mach 1 motor into a car without any matching computer/electric systems at all... he'll probably know pretty well what the 04 motor needs to run.

So the computer is the same? Anyone have a write up?

If you want, you can look at my build thread on here. I swapped a Terminator motor into my car. It's not easy but can be done.

KWCLUTCH, do you have videos up on youtube? I remember seeing one last year of a red SN95 that sounded blown doing a drive by... sounded like a jet engine taking off. lol
