Just had a thread on this that I made.

What I got out of that thread was that you just need to buy the calipers, rotors and lines. Obiously the pads too. In a few weeks I will be doing so, just using advance auto parts.

If you search there is lots of good info here.

For front (which I assume you are talking about) you NEED:

- Cobra Calipers (and pads)
- Cobra Caliper brackets & banjo Bolts
- 13" Rotors

I suggest:
- Braided Lines (if your buying new) while your at it.

A Cobra M/C is NOT needed, I know my self and many others do not run it, there is no issue, you will really only get a "firmer" pedal feel. If you are auto-x'ing then it might be nice to have the proper M/C but I have had ZERO issues and love the pedal feel personally. If your tight on money upgrading the rears from OEM to Cobra will not make much of a difference at all performance wise, lots don't bother.

mostly except for braided lines. well, some stores sell them. I live in florida, so I don't particularly need them.

agreed with everyone... I have the cobra set up waiting to install as we speak but I am going to wait until I buy the Cobra M/C. You don't technically "need" it but its just the right way in my eyes.

Matt, I'm just a cheap guy so I'm not getting it, but I probably wouldn't care either way. New stock brakes would be a huge improvement over whats on there now.

I keep forgetting the banjo's.

I've driven two Mustangs that technically require the cobra master cylinder, and did not have it. Both of them had extremely stiff pedals, and the brakes were not working to full potential, as you could feel that the calipers are not clamping enough. I know that for a fact because one of them was mine. I did not get a chance to install cobra master cylinder, because mine arrived with a cracked reservoir. Once the proper master cylinder was installed, the brakes took on a whole new life, because the clamping force was much stronger.

The braided/SS lines are one of those things some swear by, some don't care. If you are really going to be pushing the car, I'd get them. After time, you'll be putting fluid pressure into a stretching rubber line rather than squeezing the caliper closed on the rotor. The braided/SS lines keep that from happening.

You won't need it on your set up. I don't use one on my V6 (13" all four corners) and it comes off speed like no other.
