So, I have finally taken apart the car to find that the regulator teeth have been worn down in down position. I have seen this posted on a few other threads as well. I removed the motor and it works just fine and the teeth are all good on the unit. It also looks to have been replaced at some point as it isn't stock. It was way to cold to dig in yesterday, so I will have to see if there is something binding the window from moving, whether its one of the guides, broken bushings (I purchased those from rock auto) or something else.

I assume I need to replace the regulator and they are the same up to 2003 correct? Am I better off finding a newer one vs a 94-98?

Any help/advice here would be appreciated, thank you!!

Did you open it up to verify the bushings were there? I just did mine and it was a mess of plastic inside

I did, and they were fine. The teeth on my regulator were chewed up, and the motor was fine. Ordered an NOS regulator and motor on EBay. Installing next weekend!
