I installed in my 1994 GT the following parts
1995 Cobra Upper/Lower Intake with 24# injectors
GT 40 heads with 1.6 intake and 1.7 exhaust roller rockers
Ford E303 cam
Ford Racing Timing Chain
edelbrock valve covers

Ran great for about 3 minutes...

Then a geyser of luke warm coolant shoots out the top of the radiator. Also went down into oil pan.

I do believe I did not torque the heads properly.

And that friends was my Sunday!

Happy Monday to you all!

Thermostat stuck and the pressure pocket in the block released.

Replace the thermostat.

i don't see how it came out your radiator...

compression in the cooling system... if just cranking the motor causes coolant to spray out of the radiator the heads have to come off... sounds like it especially since he said there is coolant in the oil

radiator cap released pressure. cut off car and checked temp, coolant was barely warm. took off radiator cap, turned on car, quick tapped gas to 1200 rpm and coolant shot two feet up from open radiator. shut car off.

sounds like compression leak into the coolant.... specs are the most important thing in the engine building world, if its out of spec it wont work

Try the thermostat first. I had the same thing happen and it was a pressure build up behind the thermostat. There wasn't any coolant to open it. So it built pressure and pushed past the water pump. Just try it. Its cheap and easy. Those are the first things you do when diagnosing a problem.
