very nice, I am looking forward to it, the first I heard about the new 5.0 they were boasting 412hp, and I jizzed in my pants, can't wait to see an actually production model up close.

That translates to like 440hp at the flywheel if true, that is a CRAP ton of power for a factory GT mustang, that makes most HCI mustangs look like crap...

Just curious but are any of you guys seriously contemplating getting one of these bad boys? The GT is just too steep for my budget and a v6 wont ever be in my near future.

If I had the money and never had to worry about winter, I'd love to scoop one up. But I need something a little more practical than a Mustang for everyday use, so I am looking at escapes :). But dam, seeing the numbers is REALLY tempting me to look at one sometime...

Thing to remember...this thing will be a bitch to mod and tune...TiVCT? ill stay waaaaaay far away thanks.. Its already got a 2 cat H pipe, factory CAI, tuned shorty headers, 80mm tb,etc etc. besides gears there arent going to be a ton of boltons for this thing. but DANG its impressive.

sweet, a 400hp motor that takes basically a complete overhaul to make any more significant power.

That may very well be true and suck for the modding mustanger ... but it answers a call from the late 90s.

So basically, it comes with all the boltons. Is that a problem?

from a modification standpoint: yes. as cheap as mustang owners are its something to complain about, not to mention aftermarket component manufactures. my biggest complaint is still all the bs that will go into tuning and modding, you think obd2 is a pain to mess with? that`ll be nothin compared to messing with the bs that comes on this new one. and finally it drives up the price. your crazy if you think its the same price to put stainless headers on a car vs cast iron manifolds etc etc.

and in 2 or 3 years, the government is gonna say "oh no, these cars make people smile and have fun, you can't make em anymore." Its like the muscle cars all over again and now comes the 70's shit box econo cars.
