Onyx I heard they put a 4cyl instead of the 6 in it because with a few mods the 6 can put out tremendous power... Not entirely sure how accurate that is... But being a boosted engine, in theory, it makes sense

3.7L V6 is still the base engine, ecoboost 2.3 is an upgrade option, the GT has an upgraded 5.0 similar to the old Boss engine.

Well yeah that makes sense then if the 4cyl is the upgrade then Ford thinks the 6 would creep up power wise on the 5.0 with light mods

Personally I think the ecoboost will be much easier to squeeze power out of than the V6. The new 5.0 is speculated to make in the area of 440+hp which will be a solid 110+hp or so over the 2.3

The only thing I like is the tail lights. They should've put those on the first s197 bodystyle when they were going for the retro look.

Yeah man I meant 6cyl ecoboost not the 3.7 my bad but that's what I meant tho if they used the 6cyl ecoboost instead of the 4cyl it would outsell the 5.0 I'm sure because people would quickly realize a few mods and they'll be lighter and faster than the 5.0 so that would be my guess as to why the 2.3 was used.

Insane numbers no matter how you look at it. 440 out of a bone stock modular? These cars are getting to be ridiculous in power anymore and the only way to keep up with them is massive amounts of work done to our cars. Even then the new ones have superior suspension out of the box so your fuucked no matter how you look at it lol. Makes me wanna go pick up a 14

I saw it in person today at Venice Beach. Looks really good in person. Pictures make it seem ugly for some reason. Heres a picture I took of it.

Thoughts?? I think my mustang is going to be for sale at some point next year priced to move to make way for one of these. Still eager to see if the Recaros from the current GT's is still available as an option.

Yeah I've got my truck situation figured out for now just gonna use my Jeep till I blow it up so if I buy another car I'm gonna wait till 15s come out and get a model year end deal on a 14. We'll see how it goes tho

It just occurred to me tho... Why are they showing us the 15 already when it's not even 14?

because it's the new design called the s550. I don't think it looks a lot different than the current model from the side view. But it does have quite a few changes
the 2014 is basically unchanged.

Yeah I get they changed everything still doesn't explain why they released it a year and a half early. It won't even be available till late next year. Just seems pointless to me. Idk guess it's a marketing thing that will get them more money in the end

I personally think the whole model year being different than the current year is stupid. If the car was designed in 2013 it should be the 2013 model. Or atleast if it's designed in 2013 and is mass produced and sold in 2014 it should be a 2014. But this whole skipping a year is stupid IMO. Is it suppose to trick people into thinking they're buying a car that time traveled a year back or something? Lol I guess you could say it is marketing also.

I'm really really liking these new cars. The pictures that are starting to pop up of the actual car online look fantastic.
