wow thanks for the info man i really just want to be NA with 450HP if i can?

How are you going to pull that off, NMRA Factory Stock class cars are at the upper limits of na 2v power and run low 11's with 385+ at the rear tire with race fuel 12.8+ :1 compression and stock unported heads. Even with ported heads youd be lucky to see 385 with pump fuel if possible.

Its not that its "too much" its hat people want instant power, they want to bolt a blower on the car, get a tone with an exhaust and have 400+rwhp.

Its up to you I am not here to persuade you either way. I hate power adders and I will never add one to my vehicle.

450hp N/A engines aren't easy or cheap to come bye! To get that kind of power you will need Cubic Inches and some lumpy cams, ported heads, high compression etc and thats with a 2V or 4V.

That is why most will just slap a blower on and get an easy 350-400rwhp.

This month's Hot Rod Magazine... Junk Yard 2v from a crown vic, TFS heads, stock bottom end, stage 2 npi cams, supporting mods did over 450hp@ the crank. I think these numbers are do able and be improved. I almost sold my 2v this past weekend, no joke. I didnt at the last min. because of TFS heads, it's just too soon to throw in the towel. Ford on the other hand, should offer a TFS 2v head rebate program IMO!! Have WE suffered enough, FORD??

2V all the way!

N/A + nitrous = reliable and fast

2V + boost = a lil tricky sometimes but even faster!

Yeah. It's just expensive to make a 96-98 2v as quick as a 4v or even a PI 2v. It's a solid motor though. It'll last forever.

Yea it can be more time/money consuming to build a 2v that's for sure.

They'll last forever as long as you keep oil in them :embarrassed: lol

2v and 4v refer to the amount of total valves per cylinder in our cars.

96-04 gt's have 2v's
96-04 cobras are 4v's
