^^ dont listen to the 2v hater!

2v's arent the easiest to make tons of HP like a 4v would but it could be done

i installed PI heads and a set of stage 1 cams, car is putting down 302hp 318tq to the rear wheels. now with that said. im SURE you can swap in a 99-04 pi motor and a blower and be at 400-430 with supporting mods to the rear wheels..

i like NA + NOS= HAPPY! cause NA is reliable

some kid runs around town w/ a new edge 2v w/ a turbo kit running 6 psi and putting 389 and 411 down on a mustang dyno. everything else is stock and i believe its a 3onperformance kit

If this gets in to an s'fest I am going to delete it quick. Search around there are may power options, na/pa, with a power adder, your looking N02, turbo, or super charger. I didnt go and will NEVER go that route, its just me. I love na and that what im bulding my car for (see build section)

I ran a 12.6 with just over 300 wheel hp and did this with a hurt 2v.

no way hes could easily push another 2psi out of it. guys run 10-12 psi in 2v all the time, im not for it but i think 8psi would def be safe

2V with NOS or PA with a good tune can put down <425hp and be OK. I have a 2V that is a PI swap with 10.5/1 CR it put down 281HP with a crap AOD in it. I just got a built trans put in and will be running 6lbs from a vortech SC. It should make just over 400HP with a conservative tune.

For more power you can go with the PI swap, giggle gas or turbo/super charger. A stock 98GT was rated at 225hp while the Cobra was rated at 305hp. In 99 the GT went to 260hp with the PI parts and the Cobra gained 15hp by changing the heads, intake, exhaust and computer. So in stock form the Cobra engines make more power than their GT counterparts but the possibilities are endless as far as upgrades to each. There are a few 2v builds in the http://sn95forums.com/index.php/board,66.0.html section to get some ideas.

How much HP do you want to make and how much money do you want to spend?

2V and 4V can both get you to 500/600/700 hp if you want and tests that ModularPowerhouse and Kenne Bell did a few years back showed the 2V responds just as well as a 4V does with 20 psi of big KB Blower on it.

For the cost it will run you to gather all the 4V parts and install you could do a PI swap with some cams and maybe a Nitrous kit to rape a stock 4V.

If I were building a car for maximum power or the most N/A power I would go 4V but on the street the 2V is every bit as bad ass as a 4V can be.
