anybody swap the 3 8 for 5.0 in a 95? i know the bell housing is longer ,i have a 5 speed manual wiring harness anything else i may need?
I fear you are throwing money away with the swap. The old 5.0 doesn't have that much more power than the 3.8L you're taking out. A more productive swap would be a 3.8L supercoupe.
That being said: You'd be best off taking his whole car. You're going to want a LOT of little things that will make this an expensive swap if you have to buy them all off ebay. The main parts are the motor, front suspension (you can use your stock K member, but you'll need the higher rate V8 front springs and matching shocks), motor mounts, harnesses, ECU, dash cluster, full exhaust, full system and I'd do the rear end as well. Any power increase is a waste in the stock open diff the V6 has. You can't put any of it to the ground. Shoot, it has a hard time putting the stock V6 power to the ground.
