Void, you'll be close, see my jerk thread. As for cams, VT stage II, or cushman motorsports as they are now called. Manley nextek springs to go with them. If you wanna do a clean up and think you're up for it, go ahead, if there's someone experienced around to give you pointer's, mores the better. A good P&P will blow you past 320 rwhp, just make sure you use stock thickness gaskets.

I never see any Fbodies here in Cleveland either, and didn't see many in Cali. The Mustang outsold them 10 to 1, that's why they were dropped from the GM line. Everybody begged them to bring it back, now they did, and it will wind up like the GTO, mullet heads will ***** about the price and won't buy them.

Yea, the guy that builds our motors does some pretty mean port work and he said he would port one cylender worth to show me how its suppose to work and give me some pointers... so i should be ok... but i'm not sure if i want to go threw all that right now... i'm getting a better job so i might be able to buy a better motor while I'm at it... maybe a nice "c" headed cobra or mach 1 motor :dunno:

so why is their an fbody vs stang debate :coolsmiley:

we all know lsx cars mean buisness with the right driver. hell the things have put down 500+rwhp with a solid head cam package and tune. 2vs arent doing that

and i know of a 300rwhp fbody that will put down alot of money saying the next 300rwhp stang it runs across will go down :knuppel2:. and trust me the stang weighs about the same as an average fbody(give or take 100lbs) but mine weighs in around 3100lbs :thumb:.

Stock for stock a f body is around 200 pounds heavier than a stang.

Its like 3450 to 3250.

I would be willing to bet my car is atleast 3150, maybe less.

300 pounds is a big differance.

Do you have weight reduction to your car b/c i've never seen an sn that weighed less that 3250/3300 b/c 3100 is around fox body territory

My car was a 248a, with a T56, so a little heavier, trunk gutted (no trim, etc.), with half a tank and me (230), it was at 3480

Im estimating..dont know the exact number yet...I think Im gonna get it weighed sometime.

Its a 248a with gutted trunk, no back seat, chipped off some of the sound deadener, removed the strut brace, the pbr calipers are like 8 pounds lighter than the stock ones, so thats 16 pounds!

My rims are 16 inchers so they gotta be semi light.

Nothing major, but stuff adds up.

Supposedly a 96 gt weighs about 3275 lb dry.

3100 maybe an exageration..but 3150-3200 is possible.

That's what it weighed :dunno: I trust Norwalks scales, I'm not sure off the top of my head the weight difference between a T56 and T45, but I think it's like 80 lbs.

300 is just a round number. remember you have a 281 CI motor. and if your talking loaded dyno numbers, you wont hit it with a headswap and exhaust. but who cares. you have to go into expensive motor mods or boost/NOS to get good power, so I wounldn't sweat the big round number game. you said you want it cheap, so blow it or add NOS. otherwise your into more mods and mo $ :p
