so i have about 3000 to spend. how would my money best be invested? a good HCI setup with a dyno tune or a supercharger. if i go with a supercharger it would be a kennebell or a vortech. as for a HCI setup i have been looking at the trickflow top end kit TFS-K514-350370B. i am still up for any suggestions you guys may have. the only down side is that i live in california so i still have to pass emissions. oh and i dont want to spray it or turbo it.

Buy a kenne bell. I just got one a few days ago and looks/sounds/feels amazing. There is instant power all of the time. Just my .02 :wav:

Probably around $2200 I would say..but the power results are awesome.

Pay to play...

I don't understand why you would do a blower on a stock car. A lot of the power you could have gotten would be lost using stock intake/heads. It makes more sense to build up your N/A motor first, then go to the blower. Just my $.02

Well I think you get more power from the s/c than u do with the h/c/i and then later you can upgrade those too right?

get yourself a solid platform to build upon. boosting the stock drivetrain is fine in minimal amounts. however, putting a nice top end on the motor allows more room to grow. also, how's your suspension, exhaust, trans, clutch, etc...

Will your stock clutch hold up to a KB? That's another added cost you have to consider. To my knowledge the KB kits come w/ Injectors and fuel pumps so that is incorporated into the price

I know my GT with mostly stock components except for the Intake and Paxton Novi 2000 which made 340 at the wheels and 350 TQ needed an aftermarket clutch. Stock one would not hold anything over 4,000 RPMS

Because it will make as much or more power and torque, with less money, virtually no loss of drivability, and a far easier install. You can always do the top end or the whole motor later.

Plus... the price of kenne bell kit new is 4k to 5k, depending on what you get. Unless your going for a used kit, that will probably be the 1.5 litre. The easiest way to go would be the blower first... then when you get tired of it or it lets go, you will more than likley have the funds to build a stroker or a good H/C/I.

so this seems to be kind of a heated topic with everyone having their own opinions lol. its still hard tho to makeup my mind as which i wanna do. the kenne bell or the HCI. if i choose the kb i can add some apr heads and a nice cam later. but if i go with the trickflow top end kit i would have a better platform to build on later
