its 3100 for the kenne bell standard blower, plus u have to buy an underdrive crank pulley and supercharger pulleys if u want more than 6psi witch are 70 dollars, then u still need the pulley remover. and injectors, maf, throttle body, fuel pump ect. the blowzilla and flowzilla are 300-600 dollars more for the blower

I have had a Kenne Bell, granted I only had the Kenne Bell 1500...torque was obnoxious but it was a heat pump. If you DO get a KB, make sure you get a meth kit with it.

In the end....I will be doing a Vortech next time.

Just get a meth kit bro...Problem solved. You'll make more power with a Vortech/Paxton blower though.

If you not looking to make 500+ then a Kenne Bell is fine. I didn't dislike mine I just like the centrifugal design better.

Just get a used S-Trim for cheap, some injectors, a MAF, a tune and call it a day. You guys overcomplicate all this crap.

Used blowers suck mang. I have had friends buy used kits "All parts included to install"

Start installing and all kinds of bolts are missing etc. If your going to invest in a supercharger, buy a new kit that comes with everything.

supercharger is nothing I would ever buy used, you just never know what problems its had or how well it was maintained and you wont have any warranty if something does go wrong w/ it.

Exactly..

Unless you send the head unit back, and by then the $800 to refresh could have already paid for a new kit.

A refresh from Vortech is not $800 unless a ton of crap is wrong with it. I know because I've done it.

The instructions (which can be downloaded from the website) include EVERY SINGLE NUT, BOLT and PART necessary for install. I bought all new nuts and bolts for my old T-Trim kit at the hardware store for cheap.

If you research what kit you're buying, and complete your due diligence, there's nothing wrong with it at all. If you buy a kit from some jackass who can't turn a wrench without consulting the manual, then you're in for trouble.

Paul.

Will your stock clutch hold up to a KB? That's another added cost you have to consider. To my knowledge the KB kits come w/ Injectors and fuel pumps so that is incorporated into the price
will your tranny hold up to the additional power?

Well it's not all about HP numbers, I mainly want the KB b/c i like the design and simplicity of install. i was thinking about running a meth kit but it's not something i'd use all the time. I'm actually looking for a used one cause new ones are stupid expensive.

What did you pay Paul?

My buddy just had his s-trim head unit sent to vortech and with the refresh (new bearings, etc.) and shipping both ways - UPS..it came to be just under $800 all together.

That seems to be quite a stretch. That kit is good for close to 300 and just swapping out to an F cam wont gain you another additional 50 HP to the wheels
