I figured it'd make more sense here, but if you mods want to move it to the 5.0L section, go for it.

So I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for some 302 engine building books? I have been considering all the options for what to do on the 67 and I'd really like to give building my own engine a try. I'm considering starting with a shortblock and going from there but I'd really like to get my hands on a couple good, informative, how-to books. I've learned alot from you guys, but having sometihng tangible that I can sit and look at and read and be told how-to do would be great. Any good suggestions?

Thanks

How To Rebuild Your Small Block Ford

Do you know the author of it?

Javi- Thanks, I've got a couple like the first two. I'm looking for more towards the last one.

To both of you, how detailed are they? I'm going to be needing a pretty through set of books as I have 0 experience putting motors together and although I understand the concepts, seeing it and doing it are going to be the only way for me to figure it out. I've got one guy who MIGHT help me out, but I'm probably going to be on my own for the most so the better books, the better off I'll be.

I believe it is Tom Monroe. This book goes through everything you can think of with lots of pictures. They have 6 copies on Amazon.

Do those books come with torque specs and stuff like that? I imagine they would, just want to make sure. I rebuilt a 88 gt motor with a 90 ford service/shop manual. I wish i could find a place that sold those books, because i would get one for my 95.

Those books come with everything you need, from part identification, to torque specs, to damage evaluation.
